How are the days counted?

The calculator counts calendar days between your starting date and today in your local time zone. Today is 0 days ago; yesterday is 1 day ago. The starting day is not counted as an extra day.

What about weeks, months and leap years?

Weeks are groups of seven days, with any days left over shown separately. Calendar months use the same day of the month where possible, or the last day of a shorter month. For example, January 31 to February 28 in a non-leap year is one calendar month. Years are groups of 12 calendar months.

Leap days are included. Changing the clocks for daylight saving does not add or remove a calendar day. This is a date calculator, so it does not measure exact hours or times of day.

What can I use it for?
